A man who passed away today morning is reported as the 39th death from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The 88-year-old man was admitted to Hulhumale’ medical facility for further treatment to Covid-19, while he passed away at 03:50 pm today. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 39th death from complications of Covid.
The last person who passed away due to Covid-19 complications was reported at 09:45 pm Friday. He was a staff at Kandima Maldives resort, who was taken to Dhaalu atoll hospital due to deteriorated health.
So far, 11,893 have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, while 838 cases are currently active. From which, 185 people are in isolation facilities, and 56 people are admitted and treated in hospitals.
As per the recent records of HPA, a total of 11,010 people have been recovered so far.
