Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has stated that work on B. Maalhos water supply and sewerage system is underway.
MWSC started the practical work of establishing the water and sewerage system in B. Maalhos in December, 2021.
The company said the installation of tanks under the project have been completed. And that work on the pump stations are currently underway.
Under the water and sewerage system project, a 4,500 metre sewerage network and a 4,943 metre or 4 kilometre water network will be constructed and 230 households in the island will be connected to these.
The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure awarded this contract to MWSC for MVR 60.4 million.
