Male' City Council has stated that a Chinese company has been awarded the contract to repair 32 areas of Boduthakurufaanu Magu for MVR 1.4 million.
China's Hunan Engineering Corporation Limited brought the necessary materials for the renovation of Boduthakurufaanu Magu and started work last Friday.
The City Council has given 30 days to complete the renovation work, but the Council said that the work will be completed within the next 10 days.
The Council has said that the tarred area of the road has been neglected for so many years that the repair work that has to be done is great.
Boduthakurufaanu Magu was tarred from the Hulhumale' Ferry Terminal to the Industrial Village during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen.
