Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with and congratulated Al-Hafiza Fathimath Shaya Zahir, who won second place in the largest international Quran competition in Egypt.
The Vice President congratulated and encouraged Shaya and her parents for her achievement, in the meeting with them held in the Vice President's place of residence, Hilaaleege.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali, and Iskandhar School Principal Hussain Saeed.
Shaya won 2nd place in the memorization category of the 29th International Contest For Reciters of the Holy Quran, the largest international Quran recitation competition, which is held in Egypt.
Al-Hafiza Shaya, who is studying at Iskandhar School, won second place in the competition against participants from 58 countries.
