Reports show that the most number of tourist arrivals in the Maldives are recorded from Russia.
Statistics published from the Ministry of the Tourism Industry show 9,519 tourists from Russia arrived in the Maldives since the border opening on July 15th till the 4th of November. Russia currently shares 21.5% shares in the Maldivian Tourism market.
Following Russia, 3,817 tourists have arrived from the UK, and 3,683 tourists have arrived from UAE. Other top source markets include the United States of America, India, Germany, France, Ukraine, Spain, and Brazil.
From 15th July to 4th November, a total of 44,365 tourists arrived in the Maldives, moreover on 1st November, Maldives recorded the highest tourist arrivals on a single-day since border opening with 1,590 tourists.
The Ministry of Tourism aims to reach 500,000 tourists by the end of the year. So far, a total of 427,212 tourists have arrived in the Maldives.
