State minister for Environment Ministry, Hassan Mughuni has been dismissed from his position.

The dismissal of Mughunee has been confirmed by the President Office.

Mughni was sacked for accusation of theft against President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the managing directors of government-owned companies.

Mughni held the government position in a slot in the ruling coalition party, JP. He first served as the Managing Director of Stelco. However, he was later transferred to the post of State Minister of Environment Ministry.

The JP has decided to contest the upcoming presidential election and has announced its presidential candidate as well. The party is now preparing to officially launch its presidential campaign.
