The religious scholar Dr. Mohamed Iyaz makes a political comeback at the oppositions accusing their views on the current government administration is misleading.
In a tweet, Dr. Iyaz said that he supports the current President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih after fact-checking and the opposition politicians stating that the current government administration has sold the country is a lie. He further said that even with anger, we should be fair at all times rather than spreading false, misleading information.
Dr. Iyaz further stated that the current government has given the freedom to the Islamic scholars in the Maldives. He highlighted the President has welcomed meeting with Islamic Scholars in the Maldives when requested and listened to the challenges faced. Dr. Iyaz added that along with the President, the Vice President Faisal Naseem has been very welcoming towards the Islamic Scholars.
Dr. Iyaz has previously stated that he will not hold back to speak about any unacceptable actions taken from the government regardless of whoever is leading.
