Recent records by the Ministry of Tourism show that from 15th July to 11th November, a total of 51,354 tourists arrived in the Maldives.
Records show that 1,752 Tourists have arrived in July since the border reopening. While 7,628 tourists arrived in August, 9,538 tourists arrived in September, and in October 21,515 tourists arrived in the Maldives.
The top source market for the tourist arrival was Russia with 11,240 arrivals, followed by the United Kingdom with 4,468 tourist arrivals. The U.S.A stood third with 3,927 tourist arrivals.
The Tourism Ministry has also stated that from 1st January to 11th October, a total of 434,201 tourists arrived in the Maldives and the Ministry aims to reach 500,000 tourist arrivals before the end of the year 2020.
