Parliament Member and Jumhoory Party leader Gasim Ibrahim has congratulated on the sincere speech given by the new President of the Maldives after he was sworn in as President yesterday.
In a post on platform X, Gasim praised President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for addressing the country with great sincerity after taking over the responsibility of the government. He also wished Dr. Muizzu a successful term.
In addition to President Dr. Muizzu, Gasim also congratulated the newly sworn-in Vice President, Hussein Mohamed Latheef.
The President and the Vice President took the oath of office at the Special Assembly of the People’s Majlis held at the Republic Square on Friday. Following the oath-taking, Dr. Muizzu addressed the country for the first time as the 8th President of the Maldives. In his address, President Muizzu touched on major national issues and outlined some of his important policies.
