Arrangements have been made for Maldivian nationals to travel visa-free to Mongolia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maldivian nationals traveling to Mongolia will be exempted from visas effective 12 January 2024. The visa exemption will allow Maldivians holding valid Diplomatic, Official, and Ordinary passports to enter and stay in Mongolia for a maximum period of thirty (30) days from the day of their entry.
However, those who wish to stay in Mongolia for a long period or to work, study, or do business in Mongolia will need to obtain a visa before traveling.
The visa waiver agreement between the Maldives and Mongolia was signed on August 17 last year.
