President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence addressed to His Excellency Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the passing of the country's former Prime Minister, His Excellency Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.
The President’s message reads as follows:
In his message, the President stated that it was with deep sorrow that he learned of the passing of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Excellency Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali. President said that the late former Prime Minister will be remembered for his long and distinguished service towards the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
He concluded his message by stating that during this time of national grief, the Government and the people of the Maldives will join him in extending our condolences and prayers to Your Excellency, the Government, and the people of Pakistan. Surely we belong to Allah and to Him, we shall return.
