September 16th; (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; reports 99 positive cases within 24 hours. This includes 65 Maldivians and 34 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 92 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 7 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With the new update, as per HPA; the total infected cases to Covid-19 has reached up to 9,427 in the Maldives. This includes 1,485 active cases to Covid-19 in Maldives right now.
HPA also reported recovery of 174 infected people adding up to 7,903 as total recovered cases in Maldives.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 29 resorts and in 20 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 20 Tourists and 47 staff have been tested positive to Covid-19 in the resorts.
Maldives has recorded 33 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
