The Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), held in Antigua and Barbuda, has been declared a significant success by Heena Waleed, the Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, during a press conference today.

Chief Spokesperson Waleed highlighted the productive engagements and critical discussions led by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at the conference, which addressed several key issues pertinent to the Maldives. "During SIDS4, the President addressed several topics significant to the people of the Maldives," Waleed remarked. She emphasized the President's staunch support for initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change and tackling the unique challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

The conference also provided a platform for President Muizzu to engage in bilateral meetings with various Heads of State and international leaders. These meetings, held on the sidelines of SIDS4, were pivotal in fostering stronger international cooperation and partnerships.
