In a recent video statement, Minister Waheed underscored the imperative of establishing transparent rules and procedures governing the allocation of these funds. "We endeavored to extend financial support to the media upon assuming office, but regrettably, the previous government failed to earmark funds in the budget. Presently, we are diligently crafting next year's budget," (loosely translated) explained Minister Waheed, accentuating the critical need for transparent and efficient disbursement mechanisms.
