Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced that he has started writing a book about the events that took place during his tenure. Speaking at the anniversary celebration of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), Solih revealed that he is in the process of gathering information for the book.

President Solih emphasized the importance of documenting his experiences and the work done during his presidency. He believes that as a former ruler of Maldives, it is his responsibility to record these events for historical purposes.

He noted that the past five years have seen significant work and many incidents that should be documented for history. Solih also highlighted his 25 years of service as a member of parliament.

President Solih ruled from November 17, 2018, to November 17, 2023. As the coalition's presidential candidate, he won the election and maintained the coalition government for five years.
