On the occasion of the Liberation Day of Republic of Korea, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to the President of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Yoon Suk Yeol and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea His Excellency Han Duck-soo.
In separate messages sent to the President and the Prime Minister, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu expressed hope that this day inspired a renewed sense of hope and further progress.
The President also extended his best wishes for the President and Prime Minister’s good health and well-being, as well as for further progress and prosperity of the people of Republic of Korea.
The National Liberation Day of Korea is a public holiday celebrated annually on 15 August in both South and North Korea. It commemorates the day when Korea was liberated from 35 years of Japanese colonial rule by the Allies. The day also coincides with the anniversary of the founding of South Korea in 1948.
