The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced an increase in the monthly foreign transaction limit for debit cards utilized by Maldivian students studying overseas. Starting November 1, 2024, eligible students will be able to make transactions of up to USD 1,200 in the countries where they reside.
To benefit from the increased limit, students must register through an online portal and submit the necessary documentation. The bank has indicated that further details regarding the registration process will be made available soon.
