The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has opened online registration for vaccination against Covid-19.
Speaking at a recent press conference of the Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC), Dr. Nazla has stated that online registration for vaccination against Covid-19 will be open tomorrow. Dr. Nazla also requested everyone who falls for the priority list of vaccination to register at the online portal.
Furthermore, HPA has shared information about the online registration for vaccination against Covid-19 on their official Twitter and requested to provide the most up-to-date information.
HPA has previously published the details of vaccination prioritization. As per HPA, three percent of the vaccine is allocated to frontline health and social care workers. HPA also informed that 17 percent of the vaccine, will be prioritized for people of age 50 years and above and those at high risk of developing complications.
As per the government, the Covid-19 vaccine will be available in the Maldives during the first quarter of the year 2021. Through the COVAX facility, the government has already confirmed the Covid-19 vaccine for 20 percent of the population.
