Zakat House has announced that medical treatment requests will now be processed exclusively through the oneGov platform. This new service was officially launched during a ceremony at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs this morning, attended by Minister Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs stated that the integration of medical services into oneGov aims to streamline the application process, making it easier and faster for individuals to access assistance. Effective immediately, applications for Zakat medical assistance will no longer be accepted over the counter or via email.
In a significant move to support healthcare, Zakat House disbursed over MVR 1 billion for medical treatment to 131 individuals last September. The new system is expected to enhance the efficiency of medical aid distribution, ensuring that those in need can receive timely support through the oneGov platform.
