Member of Parliament for Ihavandhoo constituency, ruling People's National Congress's Ahmed Naseer said today that after one year of the government, people are very disappointed.
Speaking during today's parliamentary session debating the budget proposed by the government for the coming year, MP Naseer said that many people who brought this government with hopes are now in a state of disappointment.
"After one year, the sentiments of people from many constituencies are very disappointed and concerned," Naseer said today.
Naseer said that if there is any work the government has done in the past year, it needs to be explained to the people. He also said that the issues faced should be brought to the people of the constituencies.
Additionally, Naseer stated that the problems faced by the government are not clear to the people.
While a parliamentary member belonging to the ruling PNC has said this, some members have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of details on constituency expenditures in the budget proposed by the government for the coming year.
In the 56.6 billion rufiyaa budget submitted to the parliament by the government, the total estimated expenditure is 49.2 billion rufiyaa. Of this, 35.9 billion rufiyaa is recurrent expenditure. And the capital expenditure is 13.3 billion rufiyaa.
