President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at Al-Mina Palace today.
During the meeting, President Dr. Muizzu extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Saudi government for their exceptional hospitality and the outstanding services provided to Maldivian pilgrims performing Hajj this year.
The leaders discussed strengthening Maldives–Saudi Arabia relations, exploring avenues to deepen fraternal ties, and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
President Dr. Muizzu was joined by Minister of Finance Moosa Zameer, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of Sports Abdulla Rafiu, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohamed Shahudy.
The Crown Prince was accompanied by several senior Saudi officials, including the Deputy Governor of Makkah and ministers responsible for defense, foreign affairs, national guard, interior, and sports.
President Dr. Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed are currently in Saudi Arabia, where they are performing Hajj on an official visit hosted by the Saudi government—a gesture that reflects the close and brotherly relations between the two nations.
