Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with Member of Parliament for Gdh. Faresmaathodaa Constituency, Ashraf Rasheed, and Fiyoaree Island Council President, Faizar Rasheed, on Tuesday at the President’s Office to discuss the pressing needs of Fiyoaree Island.

The discussions focused on key development priorities, particularly those raised by the island’s youth and citizens. MP Ashraf Rasheed and Council President Faizar Rasheed highlighted the youth's request for a new turf at the island stadium and a youth centre. They also raised concerns regarding the lack of ATM services, insufficient facilities in the island school, and the need for a fully functional 24-hour health centre.

In response, Vice President Latheef assured that the administration would work in coordination with relevant agencies to address these issues. He also emphasized that citizens would benefit from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s plans to expand ATM services to all islands, aiming to enhance financial accessibility across the nation.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to addressing community needs and improving the quality of life for Fiyoaree residents through targeted development initiatives.
