January 20th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 79 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 36 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 43 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 35 people positive from operational resorts and 06 people positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,712 cases, including 1,017 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 374,217 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,428 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 13 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,639.
According to HPA, there are 79 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 49 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
