Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives sent a request to the Prosecutor General (PG), to file a case against the Former Islamic Minister, Dr. Ziyad Bagir.
ACC has confirmed that after investigation, a request has been sent to the PG, to file a case against Dr Ziyad. Talking with some of the local news, ACC informs that PG will decide on the request in about 3 days.
The Ministry's audit report showed salary expenses to a staff who no longer was working in the ministry, during the last presidency. This audit also showed the expenses for the salary went over the set salary range for some staff along with many more issues.
ACC has not disclosed any further details of the investigation yet but ACC has said that they will give further details of this later.
From the information received by ‘Ras Online’, the case file requested against Dr Ziyad is in regards to the handing over of the 10 storey building construction work of Zikra Mosque.
