January 23rd, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 55 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 31 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 24 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. This includes 25 people positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,885 cases, including 1,015 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 382,741 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,748 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 82 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,813.
According to HPA, there are 77 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 50 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
