President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called for collective national efforts to nurture a generation steadfast in Islamic principles, national pride, and a strong sense of responsibility. He made these remarks during the 40th-anniversary celebration of Maafannu Madharusaa, held on Saturday evening.
Highlighting the nation's promising future, President Dr. Muizzu praised the innovative proposals presented by the school's students, describing them as a testament to the country's bright prospects. He emphasized that these aspirations fuel the Administration’s dedication to fostering student development.
Addressing the school's future, President Dr. Muizzu pledged comprehensive support to meet its developmental needs. As Maafannu Madharusaa falls under the jurisdiction of the Malé City Council, he assured collaboration with the Council to address the school’s requirements effectively.
During the event, students proposed constructing a ground-floor hall for easier access for elderly visitors. In response, the President committed to completing the hall by 2025.
Further demonstrating the Administration’s focus on inclusive education, President Dr. Muizzu announced plans to prioritize special needs education in the coming year, including specialized training for teachers to provide equitable opportunities for all students.
In recognition of the school’s legacy, the President also presented service plaques to long-serving staff members, honoring their dedication and contributions.
Established on February 15, 1984, Maafannu Madharusaa originally enrolled students from nursery to grade 10 but has since transitioned to exclusively catering to nursery and preschool-aged children.
