January 24th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 108 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 79 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 29 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 23 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 14,993 cases, including 1,086 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 385,711 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,256 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 36 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,849.
According to HPA, there are 80 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
