January 25th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 109 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 78 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 31 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 20 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,102 cases, including 1,160 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 390,396 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 4,742 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 35 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,884.
According to HPA, there are 87 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
