January 27th, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 143 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded includes 112 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 31 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 24 people are positive from operational resorts.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,390 cases, including 1,366 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.
So far, HPA has taken 397,525 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,677 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 50 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 13,966.
According to HPA, there are 101 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 51 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
