Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has held discussions with Sri Lankan leaders to enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including tourism, education, economy, and security.
During his official visit, Minister Zameer met with Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya on Thursday. According to the Maldivian Foreign Ministry, Minister Zameer expressed appreciation for Sri Lanka’s longstanding support for the Maldives' development and progress, particularly in education and capacity-building.
The Prime Minister assured that Sri Lanka remains committed to strengthening cooperation with the Maldives in the future.
Minister Zameer is visiting Sri Lanka at the invitation of Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath. As part of his engagements, he held official talks with Minister Herath on Wednesday, where both sides explored ways to deepen collaboration in key sectors.
Additionally, Minister Zameer met with Maldivians residing in Sri Lanka on Thursday to discuss their concerns.
