President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged the public to support one another in efforts to reform society, highlighting the need for unity and responsible communication.

Speaking to residents of Dh. Kudahuvadhoo during his ongoing tour of South Nilandhe Atoll, the President addressed misinformation surrounding Government-led initiatives. Responding to criticism over the distribution of tuna fish can cases, he reassured that discounts on water and electricity bills would continue this year, as was the case previously.

The President referenced the Holy Quran and Hadith, warning of the consequences of spreading false narratives. He stressed the importance of reflection and critical thinking, as encouraged in Islam, and expressed concern over the prevalence of gossip, lies, and defamation in society.

Encouraging mindful communication, he called on the public to use the upcoming Ramadan as an opportunity to improve their conduct. He emphasized that mental, emotional, and spiritual development form the foundation of national progress.
