The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has once again announced the search for a building to house its office after a previous attempt failed to secure a suitable location.

NSPA had initially invited bids in June last year and subsequently rented a building through Maldives Media House, which operates MMTV. However, the agreement was canceled in December following allegations that MMTV had been allocated some floors of the building without rent.

A fresh announcement was made in February to find a new office space, but according to the Finance Ministry, there was an insufficient response. As a result, the ministry has now reopened the tender process.

Interested parties must submit their bids before the 10th of next month, with the bids scheduled to be opened on the 11th.

NSPA is currently operating from Mookai Suites, but the agency has previously stated that the building is deteriorating and in need of repairs.
