President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called on the people of the Maldives to use the holy month of Ramadan as a time for reflection, personal growth, and reconciliation.

Speaking at an event at Republic Square following the redevelopment and inauguration of the Izzuddin Jetty, the President urged the public to align their actions with their faith and to take pride in their Muslim identity.

He emphasized that Ramadan is an opportunity to heal broken relationships, particularly within families and between loved ones. The President called for unity, stating that while differences of opinion are natural, it is essential to put them aside in favor of national progress and harmony, as Islam teaches the importance of moving forward together.

President Muizzu also highlighted the values of forgiveness and self-purification, stressing that these principles are central to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He reminded the public that without practicing these values, one's faith cannot be considered complete.

The President urged all to embrace self-improvement during Ramadan, seeking Allah's blessings to strengthen both their personal lives and the wider community. He concluded by emphasizing that such efforts would contribute to building a more united and compassionate nation.
