MP Abdul Rahman (Ahdhu) has criticized the Speaker of Parliament, stating that his performance is worse than Elon Musk’s Tesla robot.
In a post on X, MP Abdul Rahman expressed concern over the continued failure to summon ministers for questioning in Parliament. He noted that he had requested a minister to be summoned on February 12 but had yet to receive a response.
The MP accused the Speaker of failing to ensure the proper functioning of Parliament, stating that there is little to do in the House and no valid reason for ministers to be absent.
His remarks come after South Galolhu MP Meekail Ahmed Naseem submitted a letter to the Speaker, questioning the delay in summoning two ministers. Meekail had requested the presence of Housing Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib on January 6 and Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan on January 14.
In his letter, Meekail asked the Speaker to clarify why the ministers had not been summoned despite repeated requests.
