President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu visited the new terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA) today to assess ongoing construction progress.
During the visit, senior officials from Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and the Saudi Binladin Group briefed the President on the facilities being developed to enhance passenger services. The new terminal is designed to handle seven million passengers annually, significantly expanding the airport’s capacity.
President Muizzu was accompanied by cabinet ministers and senior government officials during the inspection.
