President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reiterated that his administration’s primary objective is to increase the number of children in the Maldives graduating as Huffaz through the combined efforts of parents and teachers.
Speaking at the Huffaz Graduation Ceremony held on Wednesday evening at the Islamic Centre, President Muizzu highlighted the government’s ongoing initiatives to promote Quranic education.
He announced that the government is working towards constructing a waqf building dedicated to Quranic education, a key initiative aimed at strengthening religious learning. The land for the project has already been designated, and official communications with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs will be sent once government offices reopen after the holidays.
