President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has amended and re-enacted Presidential Decree No. 2025/6, which outlines priority projects to be undertaken in the public interest.
Under the revised decree, the minimum expenditure threshold for projects aimed at safeguarding the independence and sovereignty of the State has been significantly increased from USD 15 million to USD 100 million.
The decree includes an annexed schedule specifying the projects designated for implementation by the government. It also details the respective locations of these projects and the minimum financial allocation required for each.
