Travelers heading to Thailand will soon be required to fill out a digital immigration arrival card before entering the country, as part of changes introduced under Thailand’s updated immigration regulations.
According to the new rules, all passengers traveling to Thailand from May 1, 2025 onward must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online. The digital form must be filled out within three days before the journey begins, Thai immigration authorities announced.
The Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the introduction of the digital arrival card does not alter existing visa arrangements between the Maldives and Thailand. Maldivians can continue to travel to Thailand under the 90-day entry visa agreement currently in place.
In light of the new policy, the Ministry has advised all Maldivian travelers to ensure they complete the TDAC form online before departing for Thailand. The Ministry also urged Maldivians to respect and adhere to the laws and regulations of foreign countries while traveling abroad.
The digital arrival card is expected to streamline immigration procedures and enhance border security, making it easier for Thai authorities to process incoming travelers more efficiently.
