President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended heartfelt condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the deadly terror attack that occurred in Pahalgam, India, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives and left many others injured.

In his message, President Muizzu expressed deep sorrow and shock over the incident, strongly condemning the act of violence. He highlighted that terrorism remains a serious threat to peace, security, and democratic values, and reaffirmed the Maldives’ firm commitment to combatting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The President stated that the tragic incident served as a stark reminder of the urgent need for global unity, international collaboration, and enhanced cooperation to address the threat of terrorism.

On behalf of the Maldivian people, President Muizzu extended his sympathies to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured. He conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the Prime Minister and the people of India during this difficult time.
