Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, Founder and Advisor at Berjaya Corporation Berhad, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as part of the Maldivian President’s ongoing official visit to Malaysia.
The meeting focused on strengthening investment ties, with Vincent Tan expressing interest in expanding Berjaya’s portfolio to include ventures in the Maldives. President Dr Muizzu welcomed the interest and encouraged deeper collaboration, particularly in the tourism sector.
Ministers accompanying the President provided an overview of investment opportunities, highlighting the Maldives' favourable business environment, strategic transport infrastructure, and plans to enhance air connectivity across the country.
The Berjaya delegation included Group CEO Syed Ali Shahul Hameed and Director of Business Development Maurice Daniel Chenn.
