First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed attended the opening ceremony of the latest edition of the 'Ufakaara' training programme on Wednesday, aimed at enhancing food quality and safety among vendors and producers.
Organised in partnership with the Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) and the Fuvahmulah City Council, this round of the training will run until May 17. A total of 86 individuals from the food manufacturing sector will be trained on safe food preparation practices, quality enhancement techniques, and relevant food safety standards and regulations.
Since its launch in 2017, Madam Sajidha has remained actively involved in the programme, consistently contributing her expertise and support. The initiative continues to play a key role in raising health and safety standards across the Maldives’ food industry.
