President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu officially inaugurated the Maldives Expo 2025 on Friday evening at Central Park, Hulhumalé, accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed.

The country’s largest exhibition of its kind, the Expo celebrates Maldivian creativity, innovation, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. Following the formal opening, the President and First Lady toured various stalls, engaging with exhibitors and highlighting the government’s commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs.

The Maldives Expo 2025 was initiated on President Muizzu’s directive, following a Cabinet recommendation on May 19, 2024. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Business Centre Corporation (BCC).

A vibrant fireworks display marked the inauguration, setting the tone for the nine-day event, which will run from May 23 to 31. The exhibition is open daily from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Central Park.

The Expo aims to serve as a dynamic platform for Maldivian businesses to showcase their work, connect with partners, and expand their reach both locally and internationally.
