Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar emphasized that President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu is fully committed to improving the lives of Maldivians.
Speaking at a ceremony marking the completion of ATM installations across all islands in Shaviyani Atoll, the minister highlighted the President’s focus on effective city and administrative management.
Minister Shareef Umar noted that the President came to power with strong determination and well-planned strategies to serve the people. He stressed that many government initiatives, including housing and business support, are closely linked to financial services like banking.
The minister said the President prioritizes making daily life easier for citizens and is actively working to fulfill promises such as enabling people to deposit and withdraw money from their own homes.
As part of this vision, Bank of Maldives has introduced self-service ATM facilities on ten additional islands in Shaviyani Atoll. The government aims to provide ATM access on all residential islands by the end of this year.
