The Maldives will not announce any additional public holidays for the upcoming Eid al-Adha, according to Presidential Office Chief Spokesperson Heena Waleed.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Heena said this year’s Hajj and Eid al-Adha holidays will fall on the dates already marked on the official calendar.

Saudi Arabia has confirmed that Hajj Day will fall on Thursday, June 5, with Eid al-Adha beginning on Friday, June 6. As the Eid days align with the weekend, Maldivians will get a total of five consecutive days off.

This marks the shortest Eid holiday period in recent years, with no extra closures beyond the designated public holidays.
