Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr Tawfig F. Al-Rabiah, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday at the Hajj and Umrah office in Minaa.
During the meeting, President Muizzu expressed deep appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for their continued generosity and exceptional support to Maldivian pilgrims.
The President noted that the Maldives’ inclusion in the Makkah Route Initiative had significantly eased travel procedures for pilgrims this year. He also praised the outstanding hospitality and accommodation arrangements made for Maldivian Hajj participants.
President Muizzu is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation. The visit is being hosted by the Government of Saudi Arabia, reflecting the close and long-standing ties between the Maldives and the Kingdom.
