President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in a message marking Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, President Muizzu celebrated the role of entrepreneurs and innovators in driving sustainable growth across the Maldives and globally. He emphasized the government’s focus on inclusive financing and improved market access to empower MSMEs.
“Building on the success of Maldives Expo 2025, we continue to strengthen the ecosystem in which small businesses can thrive,” Muizzu stated. He noted that his administration remains determined to create an environment where MSMEs contribute significantly to economic diversification.
Highlighting the government’s long-term vision, President Muizzu reiterated the goal of transforming the Maldives into a developed nation by 2040 — a vision in which MSMEs play a vital role.
