President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured residents of N. Magoodhoo that several key development projects are moving forward, with visible progress expected within the next two to three months.
Speaking during his visit to the island as part of his tour of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll, the President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering on its pledges through timely and practical actions.
He highlighted the long-pending water and sewerage project, now being carried out by state-owned companies, with MWSC managing procurement and Fenaka Corporation providing manpower.
President Muizzu also announced that development agreements across the country—including for Magoodhoo—are scheduled for signing in September. Local projects include the extension of the health centre, addressing school space constraints, and advancing the island’s sports infrastructure.
He further revealed that the coastal protection project for Magoodhoo, which includes a designated beach area, will be signed next month, with physical work to begin shortly thereafter.
Concluding his remarks, the President expressed confidence that his next visit would mark the successful completion of these projects.
