President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and visiting Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka held official talks on Monday at the President’s Office, reaffirming their commitment to deepening cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting, held as part of President Disanayaka’s ongoing state visit to the Maldives, focused on strengthening the longstanding diplomatic and people-to-people ties that have flourished over six decades.

President Muizzu acknowledged the valuable contribution of the Sri Lankan workforce to the Maldives' development and emphasised the importance of continued collaboration between the two nations.



Both leaders agreed to expand cooperation in several key areas, including capacity building, education, climate action, fisheries and agriculture, food security, maritime safety, air connectivity, youth development, and sports.
