Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has made a renewed plea for humanitarian aid to Gaza, calling the suffering of children in the war-torn region unbearable and emphasizing the moral duty to help.
In a post on social media platform X, Dr. Shaheem said giving life to a single soul is like giving life to all of humanity. He described the sight of children being killed in Gaza as heartbreaking and called for immediate efforts to provide food and essential aid.
He urged the government and the public to work with humanitarian organizations and Red Crescent societies to ensure that aid reaches those in desperate need.
Gaza is currently facing a critical humanitarian crisis, with widespread famine and extreme shortages of food and medical supplies. Reports estimate that at least 147 people, including 88 children, have died due to starvation.
Dr. Shaheem stressed that providing food is not just an act of charity, but a humanitarian obligation that must be fulfilled in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
