President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conferred the National Award of Honour on three individuals and the National Award of Recognition on nine individuals and one company at the official National Day ceremony in Utheemu, North Thiladhunmathi Atoll.

The National Award of Honour was presented to Sh. Ismail Mohamed for his contributions to Islamic education, Mohamed Mauroof Jameel for achievements in construction and architecture, and posthumously to Mohamed Majid for his work as a performing artist.

Recipients of the National Award of Recognition included Husna Fahmy and Izzath Ahmed Nizar for contributions to Dhivehi language and poetry, Abdul Azeez Hameed and Amira Sulaiman for services in healthcare, and Fathimath Ibrahim for her dedication to people with disabilities. Others honoured were Ahmed Waheed Ali for community engagement, Ooredoo Maldives for promoting trade and commerce, Aleemuddeen for multifaceted contributions, Mohamed Jailam for innovation in software development, and Zahiyya Mohamed for pioneering work in traditionally underrepresented fields for women.
